Valley Stream, N.Y. — 6th July — Early in the morning, a house fire on Brentwood Lane was reported to the Department Valley Stream Volunteer Fire Department, located at 123 S. Central Ave., close to Sunrise Highway. When Engine 343 and Tower Ladder 345 arrived first, they discovered a fire in the back setback of the house. The fire was swiftly put out by firefighters using a single hose line, preventing it from spreading into the house and surrounding areas.

Chief Michael Colucci was in charge of the operations. There were no reported injuries. The event demonstrated a swift fire attack, efficient leadership, and well-coordinated business processes that prevented property damage and guaranteed scene safety.
