Seaford FAST Team Supported Mutual Aid Response

Seaford, N.Y. — 3rd July —  The Department Seaford Fire Department dispatched Ladder 683 to a working structure fire in Massapequa as the Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST). FAST crews are assigned to stand by at working fires, remaining ready to assist firefighters if an emergency occurs on the fireground. Ladder 683 responded as part of Nassau County’s mutual aid system, which allows neighboring departments to provide specialized resources and personnel when requested.


The assignment highlighted the importance of interagency cooperation and firefighter safety during active fire operations. Following the incident, the crew completed its assignment and returned to service without any reported injuries or operational issues.
