Port Washington, N.Y. — 3rd July — A reported overturned vehicle with potential entrapment prompted the Port Washington Fire Department, located at 423 Port Washington Blvd., Port Washington, NY, to respond at the intersection of Main Street and 2nd Avenue. After hitting a parked automobile and just missing a commercial building, firefighters discovered a single vehicle lying on its side.

Without the use of hydraulic extrication gear, crews managed to steady the car and safely extract the lone occupant through the rear window. The patient was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition by Nassau County Police Ambulance. The incident demonstrated the responding emergency personnel's efficient coordination, quick patient access, and safe vehicle stabilization.
