On July 5, a floating dock fire in Centerport Harbor prompted the Northport Volunteer Fire Department to provide mutual help to the Centerport Fire Department.

Firefighters put out the fire and assisted in bringing the situation under control when Fire Boat 2926 and its crew swiftly made their way to the nearby harbor.
