Nesconset Firefighters Assist at Smithtown Structure Fire

At at 10:03 p.m. on July 6, the Nesconset Fire Department responded on mutual aid to help the Smithtown Fire Department at a working structure fire.


After the main body of fire was contained, Engine 441 and its crew helped with overhaul to support fireground efforts. Before leaving the area, firefighters collaborated with Smithtown staff to make sure the building was secure and to look for any hidden fires.


Smithtown firemen and Smithtown Fire Rescue Communications were thanked by department authorities for their cooperation during the mutual assistance response.
