Brooksville, FL - The Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of West Jefferson Street and Cortez Boulevard involving a single vehicle that struck a utility pole and roadside sign.

Crews assessed five occupants from the vehicle, with three pediatric patients meeting trauma alert criteria. Due to weather conditions preventing air transport, all three were transported by ground to area trauma centers for further evaluation and care. The remaining two occupants declined medical treatment and transport.

Following patient care and scene operations, units cleared the incident after ensuring the area was safe and all necessary actions were completed.
