Long Beach, N.Y. — July 21 — At the intersection of Edwards Boulevard and West Walnut Street, the City of Long Beach New York Fire Department, located at 1 W. Chester St., responded to a car accident. When firefighters arrived, they discovered that two people were inside a car that had crashed into the front of a house.

Both victims were assessed by EMS personnel before being taken to Mount Sinai South Nassau in stable condition. Firefighters helped the Long Beach Building Department inspect the house for damage, secured the car, and appraised the structure. Throughout the incident, Chief John Marino and Assistant Chief DiGiacomo oversaw operations.
