Bellmore, N.Y. — July 15 — In the morning, the Bellmore Fire Department, located at 230 Pettit Ave., Bellmore, NY 11710, responded to a reported house fire on Randy Lane. With the help of the Merrick Fire Department, firefighters swiftly arrived and contained the fire before it spread outside the main living space. The kitchen and living room of the house had minor damage, but everyone who lived there, including their dog, was able to leave without incident.

Fire departments from Wantagh, Seaford, North Merrick, and Massapequa provided station coverage and on-site assistance. While workers finished fire suppression and overhaul activities, the community's emergency protection was maintained by the coordinated mutual aid response.
