HAMPTON, N.H. — Fire and emergency crews responded to a motor coach bus fire on Interstate 95 northbound in Hampton on June 28, 2026, just north of the Towle Farm Road bridge.

Hampton Fire-Rescue was the initial responding fire department. All passengers and the driver were able to safely evacuate the bus before firefighters arrived, and no injuries were reported.

Crews worked to extinguish the fire as several travel lanes were affected, causing significant traffic delays in the area. While Hampton personnel remained committed to the incident, additional fire resources were requested to provide station coverage.

Hampton Fire-Rescue Capt. Damien Savin later said the fire appeared to have originated near a wheel area of the bus, although the exact cause remained under investigation.
