Escambia, FL - The Escambia County Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire on East Cottage Street, with the first-arriving unit encountering a mobile home with light smoke showing.

Firefighters initiated an aggressive attack, applying water quickly to contain the fire and prevent further spread. Crews checked for extension and ensured the fire was fully extinguished.

No injuries were reported, and the occupants were able to remain in the home. The fire was determined to have originated beneath the structure, where heat ignited insulation and debris within a pipe chase. Assistance was provided by the Flomaton Fire Department and EMS personnel.
