MASTIC, NY - On the evening of July 13th at about 7:20 P.M., the Mastic Fire Department was activated for a report of a vehicle fire on Stackyard Dr., off Riverside Dr. Chief of Department Steve Januszkiewicz (5-12-30) and Assistant Chief Rudy Sunderman (5-12-31) responded to the scene shortly after activation. On arrival, the chiefs found active fire in a vehicle in the driveway. The first due engine was 5-12-1. On arrival, a crew went to work quickly to knock down the fire with a booster line.
