On July 5, Harrisburg firefighters responded to a first-alarm commercial building fire on North Seventh Street by moving Rescue 59 of the Lower Swatara Fire Department to Harrisburg City Fire Station 2.

While front-line units worked at the current fire area, the transfer made sure emergency coverage was available throughout the city. In order to preserve emergency response capabilities during protracted situations, move-up assignments are a standard component of mutual assistance operations.
