07/17/25 4:00am- Fair Lawn Police and Fire Depts were dispatched to the report of a car fire next to a house on Brennan Ct. 1st arriving Police Officers found a vehicle in the driveway next to the house with a fully involved engine compartment fire. Police Officers Matt Hearon and Juan Rodriguez grabbed the garden hose from the side of the house and knocked down the heavy fire prior to the arrival of the Fire Dept. Due to the quick work of the police officers, the fire did not extend to the dwelling, although some of the vinyl molding around the garage windows had melted. Units returned to service in approximately 1/2 hour. There were no injuries, the cause of the fire is being investigated.
