On July 12, 2025 at approximately 1830 hours, the Evesham Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a dwelling fire at 351 Hawthorne Street in the Marlton Village section of town. First arriving units reported fire showing from the rear of dwelling. Deputy Chief Robert Zane arrived, assumed command, and reported that fire had communicated to the attic space. He ordered the second alarm transmitted which brought in several other fire departments to assist with preventing the fire from running the row. A water supply was quickly established and crews made quick work of knocking down the bulk of the fire. There was some fire extension to the “B” exposure and extensive overhaul was performed before bringing the fire under control. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
