East McKeesport, PA. — June 16 — Within ten minutes of being dispatched, crews from United Volunteer Fire/Rescue put water on a residential structure fire in its first-due area. By controlling the situation, firefighters reduced the amount of damage to the living portions of the house.

Through the mutual aid system, nearby agencies provided extra staff and equipment to support on-site operations. United Volunteer Fire/Rescue, located at 611 Broadway Street, continued to offer emergency, fire, and rescue services to Wall and East McKeesport. The response demonstrated the need of well-coordinated activities and solid alliances between nearby emergency services.
