On July 6, the Williamsville Fire Department responded on mutual assistance to a two-alarm fire at Abbey Square, which is situated at the intersection of Union Road and Wehrle Drive.

Reports of a car hitting the structure prompted the first call at 3:07 a.m. Heavy fire was reported to be extending through the roof by the first command officer from the Snyder Fire Department to arrive. A drone and an excavator were among the specialized resources required to support the event, and other nearby departments arrived to help with firefighting efforts.
