Mutual Aid Sent Hillcrest Firefighters to Commercial Incident

Spring Valley, N.Y. — June 24 — On a mutual assistance assignment, Hillcrest Fire Company No. 1 helped the Congers Fire Department at a hazardous material-related commercial building fire. While specialist crews assessed and handled the hazardous materials involved, firefighters collaborated with other departments to support fire suppression and incident operations.


To safeguard firefighters and the public, commercial fires involving hazardous issues necessitate thorough coordination between responding agencies, cautious scene management, and coordinated command.
