Pittsburgh, PA - Penn Hills No. 7 VFC and mutual aid companies were dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire on Plum Street, bringing multiple stations to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews encountered smoke showing and located the source of the fire as a commercial vacuum and dust collector operating inside the building. Firefighters quickly deployed an attack line and initiated suppression efforts to contain the fire.

Truck company personnel accessed the roof to check for extension, confirming that the fire had not spread beyond the involved equipment. The incident was brought under control with the fire confined to the collector, and assisting units were released as operations were scaled back.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the fire marshal.
