Wantagh FD saves a jet skier in distress

In the evening hours of Sunday July 6th 2025 the Wantagh Fire Department and Nassau County Police Department operated at a water rescue of a jetski in distress. The jetski ran aground on Great Island located off of Treasure Island Marina on Ocean Avenue. No injuries were reported. Units operated under the command of 6901.
