Fairfield, PA. — July 3 — The Fountaindale Volunteer Fire Department, located at 1340 Old Waynesboro Road, sent Tanker 3 to Mason Dixon Farms in Greenmount's Box 23-2 in response to a big car fire. Until the situation was under control, crews helped mutual aid agencies with water delivery and suppression operations.

In rural locations where hydrants are few, tankers continue to be a valuable resource because they offer a consistent supply of water during protracted firefighting operations.
