Egg Harbor Township, N.J. — July 1 — In response to a mutual help water rescue on the Delaware River in Pennsauken, the Department Scullville Volunteer Fire Co., located at 1708 Somers Point Road, used its hovercraft. Two jet skiers were found and safely saved by the expert crew, who then carried them to land. The hovercraft offered access where traditional rescue boats could have encountered difficulties because it was built for operations on water, ice, and marsh terrain.
The incident was coordinated by the Pennsauken Fire Department, and both agencies' teams collaborated during the reaction. During water problems around southern New Jersey, the appeal emphasized the value of skilled individuals, specialized rescue equipment, and solid mutual aid agreements.
