Mastic, N.Y.- On June 17th at about 5:45 PM Suffolk Police 7th Pct officers and the Mastic Ambulance were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle crash on Monroe St and Pawnee Ave in Mastic. On arrival a 2 vehicle MVA was discovered with reports of a fluid spill. The Mastic FD was requested to respond due to the fluid spill. Firefighters responded into the scene and went to work cleaning up the scene under the command of Captain Rudy Sunderman while EMS personnel under the command of Chief of Mastic Ambulance Company Jen Lian tended to the occupants of the vehicles.
One person was taken to a local hospital by ambulance 5-37-17 with what appeared to be Non serious injuries. The road remained open while personnel operated and members took up from the scene shortly after arriving.
