Bryan County, GA - Bryan County Emergency Services Firefighter/EMT Sarah Simon has been named the “Employee of the Quarter” for the second quarter of 2020.
Firefighter/EMT Sarah Simon is with C Shift South Battalion Station 2. Sarah was nominated for her heroic action taken on a coworker. While on shift, a coworker began choking and when Sarah noticed it, she sprang into action. Sarah initially performed back blows with no improvement and then performed the Heimlich maneuver, which relieved the choking.
Firefighter/EMT Sarah Simon is an enthusiastic, dedicated employee and continuously trains to improve her skills. She has taken on the task of K9 handler and works with her dog, Jasper, on search and rescue. Sarah and Jasper spend long hours training in all kinds of weather conditions and terrain.
Firefighter/EMT Sarah Simon is a definite asset to BCES and we congratulate her on a job well done!
