Coeymans Fire responded to the Hudson River after receiving a call for heavy smoke coming from a boat on the river around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24th.
The boat began taking on water and as Coeymans Fire was assembling a crew for their rescue boat and launching it in the water, a boat from the Albany County Sheriff's Department responded to assist.
Both the Coeymans Fire Department and the Albany County Sheriff's Department rescue boats were able to safely tow the troubled boat to the dock at the Coeymans Marina.
Ravena Rescue and Albany County Paramedics also responded to the scene to standby at the dock.
There were two adults and three dogs on board the boat and all made it back to shore safely.
