Crystal River, FL - The Crystal River Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire on NE 3rd Street. Upon arrival, firefighters located a fire originating in an exterior trash container that had begun to extend to the building.

Crews quickly deployed hose lines and extinguished the fire, successfully preventing further extension into the structure. The coordinated efforts of personnel, along with automatic aid partners from Citrus County Fire Rescue, ensured the incident was brought under control before more significant damage could occur.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
