At 8:27 am on Saturday, 7/4/26 the Norwich Fire Department with East Great Plain Ladder 5, Engine 52, Laurel Hill Engine 62, Mohegan Tribal FAST and an American Ambulance were dispatched to 134 Broadway for a garage fire.
Squad A arrived with a well involved 20 X 10 out building and stretched an 1.75” hose line down the driveway to the rear. Engine 2 established the water supply. Truck 1 and Engine 3 performed overhaul. Engine 1 positioned on Union Street and checked the exposures in the rear, which did not have any extension.
East Great Plain and Laurel Hill were diverted to station coverage. The Norwich Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
