Busy Monday Kept Ho-Ho-Kus Firefighters Active

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

The Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department responded to five service requests during the day on June 20. Two car crashes, a carbon monoxide alert, a fire alarm at the Brookside Avenue apartment complex, and a gas main hit by contractors while drainage work was being done on Sheridan Avenue were among the incidents.

While PSE&G responded to halt the gas leak, firefighters guarded the sites and provided assistance as needed. Without any more problems, the power provider managed to bring the situation under control.
