Honoring the Fallen in Blairstown’s Memorial Day Parade

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

On May 25th, the community of Blairstown came together to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. As part of this year’s Memorial Day Parade, our department proudly joined the tribute, rolling down Route 94 with our Engine, Tanker, and Rescue Engine.

Crowds lined the streets, waving flags and showing their support as we made our way through town. The roar of the engines and the crisp steps of our color guard reminded everyone why we do what we do.

We’re proud to share that our apparatus, 38-63, earned the trophy for Best In-Service Vehicle, and our color guard received an honorable mention for their sharp performance.

It was a day full of pride, reflection, and respect—and we were honored to be a part of it.
