Serious Motorcycle vs. Car MVA on 17K in Newburgh

Town of Newburgh Police and EMS responded on Friday, June 28th to a serious MVA involving a motorcycle/vehicle on State Route 17K and Burger King. Winona Lake FD responded as well. Police found the motorcycle driver on the ground. EMS requested launch of Medevac. Goodwill FD set up a landing zone in Lowe’s parking lot. Route 17K was closed during the incident. The driver was transported to landing zone and airlifted to Westchester Medical Center. Town of Newburgh Detective was called for pictures. Firefighters assisted with traffic and spread speedy dry on fluids. State Police was also on scene. Town of Newburgh Police are investigating the cause. Winona Lake emergency truck used their light tower to light up the scene.
