Richmond, RI - The Richmond–Carolina Fire District responded to a reported brush fire in the Gardiner Road area, with Exeter Fire added due to the fire’s proximity to the town line.

First-arriving crews found an active brush fire near an enclosed trailer. Firefighters worked to contain the flames before they could spread. Due to dry conditions and deep pine needles in the area, crews required additional time to fully extinguish and mop up hot spots.

Responding units included Brush 614 with Fog 619, Tanker 615, Tanker 625, Engine 617, and Exeter Tanker 15.
