This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Bridgewater, N.J. — June 9 — A structure fire in Hillsborough Township prompted the Finderne Fire Department to respond on mutual aid. Rescue 30 and Assistant 30 were sent to assist the crews working at the scene. As part of the regional response, firefighters helped with suppression efforts and other fireground responsibilities.

In Somerset County, mutual aid agreements enable nearby departments to share staff and equipment during more serious situations, guaranteeing that enough resources are available for prolonged operations. Finderne workers were freed from the site and put back into service after finishing their designated tasks. The reaction demonstrated the fire agencies' ongoing collaboration during major incidents in Somerset County.
