Fast Interior Knockdown Prevents Extension at Beecher Drive Fire

Shelton, CT - Shelton Fire Department crews from Companies 1, 4, and 5 responded to a reported structure fire on Beecher Drive. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered light smoke conditions and quickly traced the source to a microwave oven smoldering after a stovetop fire, which also caused minor cabinet damage.
Crews extinguished the fire using a fire extinguisher, preventing further extension. Units operated under the command of Chief Jones, while additional resources remained available for coverage.
No injuries were reported, with EMS on standby as a precaution. The home remains habitable, and the Fire Marshal responded to the scene.
