Binghamton, N.Y. — June 8 — During recent Group D shifts, the Binghamton Fire Department responded to two distinct garage fires: one on Crestmont Road that spread to a nearby structure, and another detached garage fire on Broad Avenue and East Frederick Street. To prevent both fires from spreading further, firefighters promptly set up hose lines and coordinated suppression efforts.
Their quick action prevented further damage and protected nearby houses. During the incidents, dispatchers from the Binghamton Police Department, New York State Police, Superior Ambulance, Broome Ambulance, and Broome County Emergency Services provided assistance. Effective collaboration, coordinated activities, and the significance of quick action during structural fire crises were all stressed in the responses.
