Members of the Adams Center Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. responded to a structure fire on Pinckney Road in the Town of Pinckney on June 20th as part of an automatic mutual aid assignment to help the Rodman Fire Department.

According to officials, the tanker, Engines 1 and 2, and the department were sent to the location at 8:27 p.m. In order to support fire suppression efforts and supply extra resources, firefighters collaborated with other agencies from Jefferson and Lewis counties. Crews from Adams Center stayed on the site until just after midnight before going back to work. Department leaders said the response highlighted the importance of regional mutual aid, allowing neighboring departments to work together efficiently during extended emergency incidents.
