Third-Alarm Fire Draws Adams Center Mutual Aid Response

Members of the Adams Center Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. responded to a working structure fire on State Route 126 in the Town of Rutland on June 15th as part of a third-alarm mutual aid assignment to support the Rutland Fire Department.


According to officials, the department joined several nearby agencies in assisting with fire control efforts after being dispatched at 4:59 a.m. In order to help contain the situation and offer more personnel and resources on the scene, firefighters collaborated with mutual aid teams.


The response, according to department heads, showed the importance of mutual aid alliances, enabling departments to collaborate successfully during major crises.
