Citrus, FL - A working smoke alarm alerted occupants to a house fire on East Morley Street in Inverness, allowing everyone to get out safely before firefighters arrived.

Crews with Citrus County Fire Rescue found smoke coming from the roof and quickly located a fire that had spread into the attic. Firefighters rapidly brought the blaze under control, completed primary and secondary searches confirming no one remained inside, and prevented the fire from spreading further.
