Vails Gate Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 8 Wagner Drive in the early morning hours of June 22nd. Command arrived on scene and found heavy fire in the garage area. They requested a second alarm with tankers to the scene. Washingtonville, Campbell Hall, Maybrook, Coldenham, and Salisbury Mills responded to the scene with tankers. Newburgh, New Windsor, and West Point Fast Team responded with engines to scene. New Windsor Police and EMS were on scene. Firefighters used hand lines and hand tools to knock the fire down. Outside in the driveway was a vehicle with heavy fire damage. Central Hudson was called for a power cut. New Windsor ID Unit took pictures. Deputy Orange County Fire Coordinator 36-15 and Fire Investigator 36-108 were at the scene. The fire is under investigation by Orange County Fire Investigation Unit. Coldenham stood by in Vails Gate Firehouse with a Ladder and Winona Lake with an Engine.
