On June 23rd at 1:40 pm the Lower Macungie Fire Department was dispatched for an outside fire at 5236 Spring Ridge Drive in Lower Macungie Township, Tower 81 arrived on the scene and had an active fire in the rear of the home under the deck and flames going up the wall. The officer had the call redispatched as a dwelling fire which had the Emmaus Fire Department added to the box, The crew from tower 81 went into service with a handline and brought the fire under control. Overhaul was preformed and the cause of the fire is pending the investigation by the fire marshal.
