Firefighters Prevent Grill Fire from Spreading into Weston Home

Weston, CT - Firefighters responded to a residence on Blueberry Hill Road after a grill fire spread to an attached deck, threatening the home.
Upon arrival, crews found fire involving the grill and deck area and quickly brought the blaze under control. Firefighters then conducted overhaul operations and checked the residence to ensure the fire had not extended into the structure.
A total of 24 firefighters responded to the incident, with multiple apparatus assigned. Weston Police assisted at the scene, while mutual aid companies from neighboring departments were recalled shortly after arrival.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation by the Weston Fire Marshal’s Office.
