NEW WINDSOR, NY – New Windsor Fire Department responded to a three-vehicle motor vehicle accident (MVA) with entrapment on State Route 9W near Walsh Avenue on June 17th.
New Windsor Police and EMS were on scene. New Windsor FD requested Vails Gate FD to assist in extricating the driver of a van. The subject was extricated and transported to Montefiore St. Luke's Hospital by New Windsor EMS. Firefighters used stabilization tools to secure the vehicle during the extrication. Other vehicles were checked and made safe from hazards.
New Windsor Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
