Driver Seriously Injured After Colliding with Train in Norwalk

NORWALK, CT - On Wednesday, June 14th at approximately 11:20 A.M., a New York-bound train on the Metro North Danbury line collided with a pickup truck at the level RR Crossing on Commerce St., and pushed several hundred feet, with both vehicles stopping in the Devine Bros. yard.
The driver of the pickup was extricated by Norwalk Fire Department and transported in serious condition to Norwalk Hospital. There were approximately 20 passengers on the train; none were injured.
MTA Police are investigating the accident.
