Downed Tree and Power Lines Close Roadway in Mutual Aid Response
Coeymans Hollow, NY - Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Corporation units assisted Coeymans Fire Company with a mutual aid response for a large tree and downed power lines on County Route 101.
Due to the hazard, crews closed County Route 101 at Jarvis Road North until utility personnel could safely respond and mitigate the situation. Emergency units remained on scene for approximately two hours while the area was secured.
Responding agencies worked together to ensure the roadway remained safe until National Grid crews arrived to address the downed lines.
Officials remind the public to avoid any downed wires and assume they are energized. Residents are urged to keep a safe distance and report hazards to emergency services immediately.
