Seven Ducklings Rescued by Avenel Firefighters

AVENEL, NJ - Avenel Fire Department personnel were called to Remsen Avenue on May 25th in response to an unusual rescue involving multiple ducklings stuck in a storm drain. When firefighters arrived, they discovered seven ducklings stuck in the drain with their mother close by. In order to securely remove each duckling without causing any harm, crews had to work carefully to gain access to the storm drain. Firefighters reunited the seven ducklings with their mother, who had stayed near the scene during the rescue effort. After that, the duck family was free to carry on without incident.
