YAPHANK, NY – In the early morning hours of Sunday, June 8th, at approximately 12:40 a.m., the Yaphank Fire Department was activated for a reported motor vehicle accident involving an overturn and possible entrapment on Mill Road. Upon arrival of units 5-30-16 and 5-30-31, it was determined that the driver had fled the scene. Units 5-30-15 and 5-30-9 continued to respond, cleared all debris, and returned to service approximately half an hour later.
