Citrus, FL - Citrus County Fire Rescue responded to a significant commercial structure fire on North Winterset Avenue, where crews arrived to find a large building heavily involved with fire and threatening a nearby residence.

Due to the intensity of the fire and the presence of multiple hazards, including propane tanks, compressed gas cylinders, and explosions within the structure, firefighters initiated defensive operations to control the incident while maintaining crew safety.

Fire crews successfully contained the fire and prevented extension into an adjacent home, which sustained only minor exterior damage. No additional structures were lost.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office.
