Residential Fire Extinguished; Pets Rescued and Revived

Barrow, GA - Barrow County Fire Department crews responded to a residential structure fire, arriving to find heavy smoke and fire showing.

Firefighters initiated an aggressive interior attack and quickly brought the fire under control. During operations, crews were advised that pets may still be inside.


A search was conducted, and two cats were located in critical condition. Crews immediately began administering oxygen using pet oxygen masks, resulting in both animals recovering on scene. Barrow County Animal Control assisted with the care of the pets, which were later reunited with their owner.


The fire was extinguished, and while the home sustained damage, some belongings were salvageable. No injuries were reported.
