Smoke at Chestnut Commons in Emmaus Sends Fire Crews to Scene

EMMAUS, PA - On May 25th, the Emmaus, Vera Cruz, Lower Macungie and Western Salisbury Fire Companies, along with Upper Milford Western District and Eastern Salisbury fire companies, were dispatched for an apartment building fire at the Chestnut Commons Apartments on 10th street in the Borough of Emmaus. Engine 7 arrived on the scene and had light smoke in the building. After an investigation, the smoke was found coming from an apartment on the third floor due to a culinary incident. Ventilation was performed and the call was released.
