Jersey City, N.J.          Proper No. Twelve Iris Whiskey has launched a “One for All Project,” which is a nationwide initiative addressing the severe funding crisis facing fire department's across the country.

Proper No. Twelve has stood behind first responders, having donated over $5 million to America's heroes since the brand's inception.  The brand is deepening that commitment through a long-term, strategic effort to support firefighters across America.

In the program's initial phase, this organization has provided 12 firehouses with $10,000 grants to help cover the costs of essential safety gear, equipment and station repairs.

One of these firehouses is the quarters of Jersey City Engine Co. 11 and the High Rise-Tunnel unit, on Lincoln Street.  This firehouse, built in 1900, was selected to receive $40,000 of additional funding to cover the complete transformation project.

Engine 11's funding is enabling upgrades that include the gear area.  It will be upgraded from cramped cages that are not up to code to state-of-the-art lockers that allow for proper drying of gear and quicker access.  The kitchen will be transformed into a modern, functional area.

“Nationwide, fire departments like ours are facing a growing funding crisis, making it harder to secure the basic tools and equipment needed to keep ourselves and our communities safe,” said Jersey City Deputy Chief Robert Daly.

Proper No. Twelve has announced  that applications are open for 12 additional firehouses to received $10,000 grants.  Visit ProperTwelveOneForAll.com for more information on the program and to apply.

Proper No. Twelve Iris Whiskey is a premium quality whiskey made at the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery and aged for four years, according to a press release.

The brand remains committed to giving back, having donated over $5 million to first responder organizations worldwide in recognition of their service and sacrifice.
