High-Angle Rescue Conducted at Water Tower in Bradenton

Bradenton, FL - City of Bradenton Fire Department crews responded to an injured worker inside a water tower near Station 3 on 59th Street West. The patient reportedly fell several feet from scaffolding while performing maintenance work, resulting in a leg injury.


Due to the confined and elevated location, crews initiated a high-angle technical rescue operation. Firefighters were able to safely access, package, and remove the patient from the structure in under an hour.


The patient was transported by Manatee County EMS. The individual was wearing appropriate safety equipment at the time of the incident.
