Auburn Crews Responded to Fourth-Alarm Brush Fire

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

AUBURN, NH — May 19th — As part of a regional mutual aid reaction, Auburn Fire Department Tanker 1 and Forestry 1 were sent to Londonderry to help with a fourth-alarm brush fire. In an effort to confine the fire and safeguard the surrounding communities, firefighters joined teams from many departments. Due to difficult terrain, vegetation, and water supply requirements, brush fires frequently call for extra resources.

Where hydrants could be scarce, tanker equipment supplies water, while forestry units are made for battling wildland fires. The response demonstrated the importance of mutual aid agreements, which enable nearby departments to pool staff and supplies during significant crises and bolster regional emergency response efforts.
